Only one of the raddest intaglios we have every found depicting the Greek god Hermes or the Roman god Mercury. The details are incredibly crisp and intricate, making this the perfect piece. The bale is custom to the piece, wonderfully proportioned to the intaglio itself. I imagine this hanging from a bolder antique chain - can you?

Hermes is considered the herald of the gods, its emissary and messenger, moving between the world of the mortal and the divine (with the help of his winged sandals, of course!).
